I hope you have been enjoying the magnificent weather over the past couple of weeks, although it seems a little odd typing that following a morning of storms and heavy rain. The summer is, nonetheless, here and that is traditionally a quiet time for all things dramatic. Nonetheless I thought I would just stop by to update you on the wheels that are turning in preparation for our forthcoming season and am pleased to announce that our December play will be ‘All the Great Books (abridged) by Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor. In the same vein as last year’s hugely successful ‘The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged)’ (see previous blogs) The Matchbox Sized Shakespeare Company will once again be coming together to offer insights and understanding into eighty seven of the greatest works of literature ever published. More details will follow as the project gets under way. There will also be more info on our new members’ night as well as, hopefully, some updates on our 2014 programme sometime in the very near future. But for now I’m stepping away from the keyboard for a little break but will be back in September with more updates and, of course, nostalgia. Until then, have a great summer and hope to see you back here at the Matchblog in a few weeks time.
All the best
M
